"Apparently Mike Pinder used to work for the Company who made the Mellotron. His work with the Company obviously contributed to his expertise in using the instrument to its full potential. This is a beautiful album, positively brimming with Mellotron for all you prog affectionados who know what a ..."  [+]  Reply

"Wow! Almost 50 years old, and this is magical. As of now it's in my top 3 of 1969. And sure I haven't got that much of that year as well as the decade under my belt, this album is pretty mind-blowing and I am able to pick out the influences from this piece."  Reply

"Laura Nyro was one of those rare and singular talents that comes along once in a lifetime, if you're lucky. In her original music, the disparate sounds of Soul, Jazz, Folk-Rock, Doo-Wop, Broadway, and Brill Building Pop coalesced into something that was magically hers alone. Her wild and untraine..."  [+]  Reply

"Easing off on the psychedelia that was on 'Lost Chord'. This is a bit more laid back with a bit of a paisley feel at times. Still a good album. The Moody's seem to be a bit overlooked as an fabled band of the 60's."  Reply

"Borrowing elements from folk, country, blues and tex-mex, Townes Van Zandt's poetry is emotionally intense. His gentle acoustic style has a unique desolate quality to it and his stories are simultaneously intimate and universal."  Reply

"Joe Cocker bursts into the late 60s with a soulful collection, channeling Ray Charles and baring his Soul with a Capital "S". In listening to this album for the first time there were times when I thought I had mistakenly put on a Brother Ray disc. "Bye Bye Blackbird" sounds like Charles could hav..."  [+]  Reply
