"I was a 16-year old camp counselor in training, far from home in a primitive forest. I ran a high fever for two days with a horrific bout of tonsillitis. All I could do was lay on a bunk in a cabin with no air conditioning and listen to my records on headphones, sweating and hallucinating. This w..." [+] Reply

"This is an adorable little prog album. Really exciting and somewhat cheesy listen. But it's a sophisticated sort of cheese... Like blue cheese. It's like blue cheese and wine." Reply

"I prefer this and Eat to the Beat to Parallel Lines. Not by much, but this album here is a little more surprising or something. And it's more lasting. For me, it's outlasted Parallel Lines." Reply

"On Al Final de Este Viaje, Silvio gets rid of the string arrangements of his previous releases which gives this album a more intimate quality and lets his intricate guitar work fully shine." Reply
"The first track is probably my favorite Kuti song." Reply

"Terrific album I’ve owned since the early 80s. Has concert staples such as Sinner and Diamonds and Rust (Joan Baez cover). Has the wonderful ballad Last Rose of Summer coupled with the proto-thrash metal Dissident Aggressor. I’d say this album, along with Sad Wings, is a must in anyone’s collection." [+] Reply

"If Ashes Are Burning is a big warm blanket, Turn of the Cards is an icicle through the heart. Much colder and more darker in tone than its predecessor, but still delivers all the Renaissance classics through Annie Haslam's beautiful voice, John Tout's atmosphere-setting keyboards, and the string ..." "No. 1 in Heaven, Sparks's transition into synthesizer based music, is quite the graceful shift in style. Glam rock isn't quite that much different than synthpop, which is lucky for them. Though the songwriting suffers a bit, the almost title track (The Number One Song in Heaven) makes up for it. ..." [+] Reply
"Reaper is the big hit, and I have always liked it, but my personal favorite is ETI. I think this is a good record, but I also think that BOC isn't for everyone. They have a unique sound that doesn't appeal to everyone. Saw them on the Black & Blue Tour in 1980 in Rockford, IL. Great show." Reply
