Oasis ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 71.1/100, a mean average of 71.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.0/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 26.5.

Oh what a joy it is that we get not one but two Gallagher brothers trying to relive the glory days with their solo projects and subjecting us to their trite in the meantime. Every time they open their mouths, the genuinely good Oasis material slips further out of view. A band whose music became a joke of itself.
Edit: God spare us their reunion. Inane, phoney, self-congratulatory and exhausting to listen to. No better time for a band who always looked backwards to claim they still matter. A myopic vanity project and a peak for conservative music.

Their first 2 albums hold up okay.

I rate Oasis at 85 on the strength of their first two albums, all down-hill from there on. Saying worst band ever would imply you've heard all others (which I somehow doubt). Hardly original with an annoying attitude, but some great music on those first two albums. I have no problem with bands taking ideas from other bands if the results are worth it and I would say in Oasis's case they are.

This band isnt as good as most of hardcore fans think, but it also isnt as bad as the critics say. its just a good soft rock background music, most of it sound very similar with few really catchy tunes
