"(Consistent and cohesive debut LP from Magdalena Bay. Some top-tier synthpop - creative, catchy and quite beautiful.) I am a fan of this album. The things I love about great synthpop are here in droves. Those being a charming childlike wonderousness that is infectious when you listen, lots of cat..." [+] Reply

"The Sulphur Man is a wonder of production, such an open, expansive sound, widescreen, if you will. As much a part of the song's brilliance as the songwriting itself." Reply

"While most audiophiles will be quick to point out "Wide Awake" as Bright Eyes' magnum opus, I have personally found the consensus among those fans who have immersed themselves in the band's entire discography that "Lifted" is on top. Even with such greats as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen this album..." [+] Reply

"I've heard in several places the Crooked Rain, Crooked rain is the most accessible Pavement album. However, after 3 listens, to my ears this seems to be the easiest to grasp. Really enjoying it so far, seems to be their most focused album. I'm falling in love with this band...too bad it's 2012" Reply

"This album shows off everything that's great about The Beach Boys: the fact that they could do almost any genre from that time (maybe they should've left rock & roll, but okay); Brian Wilson's genius production techniques; Brian Wilson's out of the box thinking, he basically made Shoegazing with ..."
