Commercial jingle "flathead", "chelsea dagger" and "baby fratelli" are just too much fun in an INXS kick/x way not ..."  [+]  Reply

"Chuck Berry didn't really make any great albums; not his fault, they were singles artists in that era. Of course he may be the greatest singles artist EVER, so why not give he and the others (Elvis, Buddy, Little, etc.) the opportunity to appear on a list like this. I don't usually consider comps..."  [+]  Reply

"Jason Pierce brings some better songs this time around but the spacey delivery still comes off a bit languid. That's not the case on "Hey Jane", "headin' for the top now" and "I am what i am" (i love backing vox and guitar wankery); but otherwise, i hope you can feel the words he sings because th..."  [+]  Reply

"I'm not really a big fan of Heavy Metal or Metal in general. But Iron Maiden is a very, very good band: guitar riffs give off an unparalleled energy, guitar solos are awesome ... Iron Maiden is one of the most catchy and energetic bands I know. They created real heavy metal hits: "Hallowed be thy..."  [+]  Reply

"I hope this record doesn't get forgotten over time, at the very least it deserves a lot more recognition than it already has in my opinion. Right from the very start the enormous ambition of this album becomes obvious, "Can't You See" is a huuuuge soundscape with a desperately pretty song being c..."  [+]  Reply

"A good album from the 90s. Ness' voice makes him come across as more of an Irish or Scottish protest artist rather than somebody from New England. Thankfully the lyrics that he writes are very well done and makes sure that his voice doesn't come across as a gimmick. Ball and Chain is the iconic s..."  [+]  Reply
