"Every now and then, an album’s name is absolutely perfect to describe the album itself, and in the case of Autre Ne Veut’s “Anxiety", you have an album that feels anxious, that feels crazy. It’s difficult to describe this album with much clarity. It has a pop sensibility to it, but it keeps you o..."  [+]  Reply

"It has often been noted that it may be difficult to put genre label on Emmylou Harris' "new" style which was founded with "Wrecking Ball" in 1995. It is obvious that there are strong roots in both country, folk and rock, and I feel that her music can be compared with Richard Thompson's, which of ..."  [+]  Reply

"One of the greatest improvisational jams ever recorded. Just 3 songs, pretty basic rhythms and harmonies that let Eric Dolphy do some of his better moves. The solos are crazy and the comping by Mal Waldron is something to behold. Ed Blackweel is as solid as ever."  Reply

"Whenever I think of this album, I remember listening to this on my Sony Walkman, doing my dumbbell reps and my dad coming in my room telling me the gulf war had started. Totally irrelevant to anything apart from I still love it the same as I did then as a teenager. Always loved their singles that..."  [+]  Reply

"Probably my favorite spanish language album. I heard they were the "spanish radiohead" at the time and that title is somewhat justified in how they explore outside of typical (spanish) rock boundaries."  Reply
