"One of THE greatest singer-songwriter records of the 21st century. Damien Rice couples his great lyricism with passionate singing to make his debut a modern masterpiece."  Reply

"An incredibly inspired, otherworldly, captivating, dramatic album. Her ethereal shapeshifting voice, the beautiful, brutally unconventional but highly accomplished arrangements... It's as if she's conjuring a new world into existence with the power of sound. I want to live inside this album and w..."  [+]  Reply

"The Pretty Things' 1968 album "S.F. Sorrow" did not 'cause much attention when it was originally released. The band had already shown, with their previous album "Emotions", that they wanted to explore new grounds, and that they felt that the r&b concept was too limited for them. "Emotions" showed..."  [+]  Reply

"Despite being largely an "odds and sods" collection of leftovers from previous albums, it works amazingly well as its own album and IMO is the last true classic Stones album before overpriced nostalgia tours and endless Greatest Hits recyclings became the norm."  Reply

"This is my favorite Leonard Cohen album. It is my favorite for many of the same reasons the self titled Townes Van Zandt album is my favorite Townes album or why Nebraska is the best Springsteen album, or Pink Moon is my fave Nick Drake, or or or etc. Its one of the most starkly grim albums I've ..."  [+]  Reply

"Everyone of course this sounds like Thom Yorke's solo project. The reason the band formed was to initially perform songs from The Eraser live, a few years later they decided to release an album so that's why it sounds similar. Flea is so talented, you think the only way he knows how to play bass ..."  [+]  Reply

"This group has one of the most interesting and unique dynamics amongst any folk group I have listened to and that keeps this record engaging even during the slower moments. To start with there is the fantastic vocal performance which is classically British and leads the instrumentation perfectly...."  [+]  Reply

"Zuma ranks as one of the very best and consistent of Neil's huge catalogue. In my opinion it's vastly superior to his more celebrated but, in truth, uneven works like Goldrush and Harvest. Nowhere, Tonight, Rust and Zuma are the essential Young albums to have in any music collection."  Reply
