Beulah definitely grew some teeth and ended up making one of the most terrifically subtle, sarcastic kiss-offs in all of indie rock. In a year of bitter post break-up albums, this is one of the most endearing and filled with surprisingly hidden depths.

In my opinion, this is the ultimate breakup album. A breakup album about breaking up, Yoko is a sincere look into the complex scope of emotions that surface while a relationship is dissolving. Relatable and honest, the album saves itself from pure melancholy with strong pop melodies influenced by the sounds of 60s British Invasion. While it may not be the prototypical perfect album, Yoko has always reached me on a deeply personal level that very few records ever do. I can listen to it anywhere, at any time, and never have a desire to skip a single track. That's why it gets 100/100 from me
