Stripped down re-working of old songs mainly from the brilliant ‘The things we do to find people who feel like us’ album. Sadly I just don’t get this (even the singer sounds bored) which is a shame as many of the tracks here when in their original form are irresistible.

Think a potty mouthed poor mans Perfume Genius and you've got this album
I'm a Perfume Genius fan so I was always going to struggle with this release , having said that the lush instrumentation and piano's is great and quite beautiful throughout
But ...
Lyrically everything feels really forced & vocally quite same-ish . And the swearing (of which there is heaps
) feels really out of place on the beautiful backing tracks , I'm no shrinking Lilly when it comes to bad language but it really does spoil the overall experience here
