Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.4/100, a mean average of 65.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

This anticipated comeback album is certainly a disappointment, when compared to the monster albums the band previously made with John Frusciante, with the band, at times, sounding like a watered-down version of themselves in their heyday, with some songs lacking inspiration (Aquatic Mouth Dance being the prime example). Yes, they are not young men anymore, but with previous guitarist Josh Klinghoffer the band still very much retained the energy and youth the Red Hot Chili Peppers are known for.
Having said that, what does come as a welcome surprise is the return of the classic lineup's warm and sunny sound, clearly missing from their final album with Klinghoffer, The Getaway. And the fact that the second half of the record is so strong, featuring songs like Whatchu Thinkin', White Braids & Pillow Chair, Let 'Em Cry, and The Heavy Wing.
While not a perfect record, or as good as their follow-up Return of the Dream Canteen, it starts and ends on a strong note, and contains some of the magik that had been missing from the Klinghoffer era in its last few years.

Un tanto decepcionado con la calidad del album al tener de regreso a Frusciante. Si bien no es malo deja mucho que desear y por momentos se torna tedioso al ser demasiado largo
Don't expect peak Chilis (Californication - Stadium Arcadium), but this is still a really solid album. Highlights are Black Summer, Whatchu Thinking, Let Em Cry, Here Ever After. Great to have John Frusciante back in the band, but to be fair, the two albums without him were also good. They just can't write a bad album it seems.

People deigned to write reviews for this.
A bit disappointing considering Fruciante is back in the fold. Few songs make an impact for me. 17 songs and 73 minutes is a lot of album and the band mostly stick in their lane through the whole thing. These guys were super productive over the pandemic as there is another 17 song album coming later this year, but this didn't really end up being worth the hype.
While perhaps not being RHCP's greatest ever record, there's still a lot to love about 'Unlimited Love', particularly the amount of musical variety and different types of songs on show.

First thought: This is your mom's RHCP; the same mom that grew up with RHCP and is now pushing 50. Your mom's tastes have mellowed out since then and so have RHCP.

Too many songs. RHCHP insist on making too long albums.
