Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 6% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.0/100, a mean average of 75.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.9.

Not really my kind of music, but it's fairly well written and I can respect that.
The last song encapsulates so well why I like Alex Turner as a lyricist so much, It is imaginery, dreamy, settling. As for the rest of the album, It is good, but nothing else really reaches the peak. And it is kind of similar to Artic Monkeys, a thing they would change in their next record almost ten years later.
I Don't Like You Anymore".
Britpop clones. Barely tolerable.
Was a good time listen to it. The dancin' mood fits well with the epic elements. Good record I would say.
Extremely good first half
Their voices sound so great together
one of the best of the year and love the meeting place!
The Age of the Understatement and few more flat tracks :(
Being a huge Arctic Monkeys fan, it still took me a while to get around to listening to this. Wow. This album has such an amazing sound, which is so different compared to what Alex Turner had done with Arctic Monkeys up to that point. Every song on the album is great, and I think Alex Turner and Miles Kane are a great duo.
