Very interesting sound here. I'm just listening to this for the first time and at first I thought it was pure pop-folk like the Lumineers and such, but there's much more experimentation here. There's rap/hip-hop influence, and guitar chords like rock, synth infusion at times, and soul elements. All while maintaining an accessible pop sound. It makes for an interesting situation because while it's ambitious in genre fusion, it doesn't have the impact it should. No track quite stands out as revolutionary, even though Raury has a unique sound. Really weird, I want to think this sounds special, but for some reason, it doesn't.
