good sound and a few good to really awesome songs, but largely inconsistent in quality of the songwriting.

Delicinha de álbum, mto gostoso pra pegar estrada!
A very cute and innocent pop album that provides a lot of fun and catchy tracks. The vocal is great and really suits the style of music and it really just lets you glide through the album just listening to her voice. Also, there is some very good catchy instrumentation at times such as on songs like Archie, Marry Me and Adult Diversion. However, the record can be criticised for being quite simplistic and there isn't really much to keep coming back to except for the catchiness of the songs. This is because there isn't much to explore below the surface level and not a lot changes from listen to listen. Overall, a very sweet album with a lot of great songs but I think I would listen to the songs on there own more than I would listen to the album.

OK, but nothing that hasn't been done better by others before - this sounds like a badly produced and badly performed version of The Darling Buds. Please Alvvays fans, check out the The Darling Buds. Or The Primitives.
Solid band, terrific singer, and a more than promising debut album.
The second one is rounder, and so I like it better. But this one got many great tunes: Adult Diversion, Archie Marry me, Ones Who Love You, Party Police, The Agency Group...

A damn good rock album that’s gonna stick with me for a long time.
A great debut album from Alvvays. Has a lot of catchy songs that are produced in a fun, retro kind of way.
