Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 4% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 79.1/100, a mean average of 78.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.0/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 14.1.

"All eyes see the figure of the wizard, as he climbs to the top of the world.
No sound as he falls instead of rising. Time standing still then there's blood on the sand".
I have given 10 songs a score of 100, Stargazer is one of them. Gates of Babylon and Tarot woman 95, Dio, Blackmore and Co. were one of the greatest rock bands ever.
I don’t often give songs 100 rating, but I’ve given Rainbow several. Stargazer, Rainbow Eyes, Gates Of Babylon, Catch The Rainbow... So many perfect songs. The albums aren’t always on the same level, but they’re still both my favourite Blackmore and favourite Dio band. And that says a lot.
Unfortunatly very overlooked band. They have Ritchie Blackmore (original Deep Purple guitarist) and Ronnie James Dio (needs no introduction).
Their first 3 albums are some of the best 70s albums, in my opinion
Favorite songs: Temple Of The King, Catch The Rainbow, Man On The Silver Mountain, Stargazer, Long Live Rock N' Roll, Tarot Woman
Oh wait, why is Long Live Rock 'n' Roll in front of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow? That doesn't make any sense.
This is probably my favorite band that Ronnie James Dio was a part of. What's incredible is that it was able to continue without him but getting other great vocalists like Graham Bonnet and Joe Lynn Turner. Blackmore is the foundation necessary for any band. He was also was the most important part of Deep Purple. Rising is my favorite album but just barely. Long Live Rock N' Roll is incredible as well.
Blackmore is my favorite guitarist of all time. Dio doesn't hurt either. This also featured the very underated Cozy Powell on the kit as well. Stargazer is one of the best Metal/Hard Rock songs ever created. No Metalhead should be without Rainbow Rising.
Ronnie James Dio and Ritchie Blackmore! Really, that's all that needs to be said.
This band has been totally overlooked by members here. Ritchie Blackmore formed the band when he left Deep Purple. I recommend Rising and Long Live Rock 'n' Roll to anyone who likes hard-driving 70s rock. Features Ronnie James Dio's best vocals.
