Top 82 Greatest Music Albums

Records of jazz players, Elvis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix are out of the rating. They are all great but the chart is limited... And it starts from 1970 (60s are wonderful absolutely).
Thank you all for your comments and introduction music new for me.

Top 82 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.6/100, a mean average of 79.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 18.0.

Nice, personal and unique! Even though there's an obvious preference in certain genres, it manages to be very clear this is the music YOU love. Also some neat surprises like Deftones, Slayer and Swans! Some notes would do this chart great wonders!
Could recommend In the Nightside Eclipse by Emperor, White Light from the Mouth of Infinity by Swans, Ege Bamyasi by Can and Octopus by Gentle Giant. They all might not actually be that similar to what I see here, but may be something fresh that you might still enjoy ;) (Edited)

Why don´t you include the Big Ones (Elvis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix)?
Just because everyone has them in their chart?
or some jazz?
Now the chart is a 1-dimensional hardrock/metal chart.
It´s a good rock chart anyway.
I think it´s OK to add all kinds of music because this side is called "besteveralbum" (and not besteverrockalbums).

Love this chart ~ for the most part, it is not what I usually listen to ~ but I love the energy of your choices. Great to see Wolfmother (an Aussie representative). Was hoping that you may have included Electric Mary - another excellent Aussie band ~ just a thought :). (Edited)

Probably too much 80's hair rock for my taste but apart from that we have some middle ground with At The Drive-In, Deftones etc. Great to see Dry in there. It's my favourite P J Harvey album and is an ex top 100 on my chart. (Edited)

I like your criteria for selecting albums interesting to leave out big artists (Elvis Beatles) gives it a different twist. As for your chart well I can wig out and dig a bit of righteous metal. Good to see Sinead O'Connor too. Rock on dude!
