Pretty new to music but this is my favourites of what I have heard. Not ordered at the moment but Jake Bugg is my #1. Recommendations would be nice!

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

It's a totally alright chart, but like everyone says, there is a lot of post 00s bias, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because some of my favorite albums came out in the 00s and 2010s. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that your chart improves as it gets larger. I'm not gonna give any recs either because I trust that you will be able to find your way, so best of luck!

Some recs:
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
The Strokes - Is This It
Pixies - Surfer Rosa
Weezer - Pinkerton
The Field Mice - Snowball
Some entry-level shit except Snowball which is just a rec to get you to calm down with the power chords and chill out to some twee.
Also don't listen to him you won't like England Keep My Bones or Highway 61 Revisited. It is worrying that this has expanded to 32 and still only 1 pre-00s.

England Keep My Bones- Frank Turner
Elephant- The White Stripes
OK Computer- Radiohead
Abbey Road- The Beatles
Highway 61 Revisited- Bob Dylan
Different Class- Pulp
Pretty random recs but they should keep you busy for a while, they are pretty good gateway albums as well. Keep going and maybe some more pre-2000 stuff will break into your chart.
