I grew up as a Beatles fanatic, which I credit to my Dad especially, who idolized John Lennon growing up. I used to make photo albums using all of our printer ink illustrating the lives of the Fab Four, my favorite member always being George Harrison. Abbey Road doesn't have the quirks of Sgt. Pepper's or Revolver, but the medley completing my favorite Beatles masterpiece easily cements its place at the top of this list. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

I always remembered Pink Floyd growing up as "the band with the long songs". My parents both grew up loving their music and collecting their records, and eventually I gave them a try. While "Dark Side of the Moon" is their most renowned album in their strong discography, "Wish You Were Here" flows so smoothly and the title track was one I played all throughout my early high school years during the lowest part of my life. Powerful. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

I gave Dark Side of the Moon a chance after "Wish You Were Here", "Animals", and "The Wall". Both of my parents had the record, but didn't own it on CD, which was what I grew up on. Last year, I set my record player up, and I put on Dark Side first and foremost and finally got to really appreciate it for what it was. Great, great album from start to finish. A flawless debut from my favorite modern day band, stripped down from the mega band they'd soon become. Every time I've listened to this, I've been able to clear my mind, and it will forever serve as a personal classic. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

The White Album has some better songs than Abbey Road and Let it Be. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was always my favorite Beatles song, and "Rocky Raccoon" was a bonfire classic every year at my dad's family reunions. However, there a few duds, and don't get me wrong; I can listen to the entire album from start to finish (there are few BAD Beatles tracks), but it's just not quite on the same level as the aforementioned albums in my opinion. Remember, this is a list of my personal favorite albums of all time, or else I would've thrown some Radiohead on here (haven't gotten into that phase yet). [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

If you couldn't tell, I lean towards the later Beatles discography as opposed to the "Beatlemania" and crazy acid phase. My aunt came over one time when I was younger with a boom box and her, my sister, and I spent all day recording our voices over classic songs. I'm a terrible singer, but I remember reciting "Let it Be" perfectly over the microphone and putting her in shock. I was just one of those kids growing up. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

I'll always remember hearing this album play on my family vacation car rides, and it was what got me into Coldplay. I always loved the tunes, but didn't actually realize who they were until Viva la Vida was released. At that point, I went back in their catalog and found this album and fell in love with it all over again, and I was at the age where it permanently left a mark in my music taste. It doesn't quite top Parachutes, but some songs such as "Amsterdam", "Warning Sign", and "In My Place" became some of my favorite songs. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

I'm so lucky I got over my "hip hop sucks" years in time for this classic. MOTM is the epitome of stoner, lonely rap, and even though I've never smoked weed; this album sometimes puts me in a whole other world. There is never-ending nostalgia for me when this is put on, and I remember back to my early lonely high school years when all I wanted was a girlfriend. Cudi got me through that, and I can't thank him enough for that. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

I always hated hip-hop growing up. I remember being in the car during a friend's birthday party and 50 Cent came on the radio. Everyone was bobbing their heads, and I refused to acknowledge it because I was a stubborn little brat, and because I was too used to listening to "good music". My babysitter was over one night a few years later, and she was showing me around iTunes, and it was around the time "Stronger" was at the top of the charts. I loved it. And that was the first rap album I ever listened to, and it is now a genre that I can discuss almost as fully as any other genre. It's a great album from top to bottom, and my adjustment to rap was made much easier when Chris Martin's voice appeared on "Homecoming". [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

Jack White is my 2014 breakout musician (even though to the common folk that's been established for a while), because for some ridiculous reason I never gotten into The White Stripes or any of Jack's side projects. Blunderbuss is a beautiful album, with tons of cool unique sounds rare especially in the current scene of music today. I love how he blends old and new pieces of music to his projects, paying his respects to the legends while paving his own path. I have more to hear from his discography, but so far, this one easily is my favorite. [First added to this chart: 10/15/2014]

A lot of good choices on this list. I also really like the comments section of why they mean so much. Gives it that personal touch instead of just being a list.

Great chart! Full of classics with many albums of the Floyd and The Beatles. I'd like to see the top 100!
