Nirvana's Masterpiece showed the world in 1991 that the rock music wasn't dead, and that the old formula of drums/bass/guitar could work better than ever. Smells Like Teen Spirit shocked the world and Something In The Way remains one of the most misterious songs ever. Best album i've ever listened to.

The Greatest Band ever reached the top of the world in 1966. Revolver shot down every doubts that could exist about the abilities from this guys. 45 years after it was made, it still sounds fresh .

An album that takes me to another universe when played. Not every album is able to do that. Shine On You Crazy Diamond is one of the most underrated songs ever.

I remember getting this album and listening only to High and Dry and Fake Plastic Trees. Then it grew on me, and it seems almost perfect.

Began as one of the worst albums ever in my opinion, and ended in my top 10. One of the most beautiful things i've ever listened to. Wake Up really gets me everytime i listen to it.

This is pure Alternative music. Paranoid Android is the Bohemian Rhapsody of the 90's. Karma Police is really one of my favorite songs. It really deserves to be named one of the best albums ever.

The guys who were growling and yelling when they began, just grabbed accoustic instruments and played sitting in chairs. The result is an almost perfect album.

A Day in Life almost throws this album into this spot. However the other tracks are amazing too. One of the most innovative albums ever.

They are known by Morning Glory, but this was when they really knew how to rock. Live Forever is one of the best rock tracks ever.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Pretty solid list so far. Would recommend Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins if you haven't heard them yet.

Interesting choices, though too heavy handed on Nirvana. I definitely want to check out the Portuguese artists as I am a huge fan of Brazilian music myself.

Muse: Phenomenal live and a great band on its own right (nothing to do with Radiohead in my opinion)
The Great Escape (Blur's best album, Charmless Man is my favorite Blur song ever, I think I will probably put them in my chart)
Without a couple of records I've never heard this is a great chart
