Nirvana's Masterpiece showed the world in 1991 that the rock music wasn't dead, and that the old formula of drums/bass/guitar could work better than ever. Smells Like Teen Spirit shocked the world and Something In The Way remains one of the most misterious songs ever. Best album i've ever listened to.

The guys who were growling and yelling when they began, just grabbed accoustic instruments and played sitting in chairs. The result is an almost perfect album.

Maybe the best these guys will ever do. The basslines are great, voice of Kiedes here is great. Everything in this album seems really great.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Pretty solid list so far. Would recommend Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins if you haven't heard them yet.

Interesting choices, though too heavy handed on Nirvana. I definitely want to check out the Portuguese artists as I am a huge fan of Brazilian music myself.

Muse: Phenomenal live and a great band on its own right (nothing to do with Radiohead in my opinion)
The Great Escape (Blur's best album, Charmless Man is my favorite Blur song ever, I think I will probably put them in my chart)
Without a couple of records I've never heard this is a great chart
