Take this chart and flip it upside down and every single entry makes sense in reverse order. The 70's were THE music decade. The Beatles just broke up as the decade starts. Then comes punk, disco, new wave, rap, glam, prog, new age, blacksploitation soul...it was just a magical decade for genre's. Hell, even Elvis had the good taste to die in the 70's. People made songs. Good songs. With melodies, harmonies and lots of friggin' guitar. Drum machines? Perish the thought.
But then again...the 90's were pretty awesome too.
