In my mind, a practically perfect EP! I recommend this EP to anyone and everyone! Though there are some similarities shown here to his songs with Grizzly Bear, there is enough deviation that he keeps things very interesting! Great voice, expert guitar-work without going over the top, and wonderful arrangements. The sound hearkens to a late 60s-early 70s desert rock/indie folk album. A bit of country and soul influence as well. Reminds me a bit of The Eagles.

To SammyC33- I don't live in New York, it's just a big coincidence that some of my favorite bands, and bands whom I think are incredibly talented and creative, are from New York. I got into The Strokes about 6 years ago and they opened the door to a lot of the garage rock revival scene and other 2000s bands like Arctic Monkeys, Grizzly Bear, and The Walkmen. It's just a cascade from there. Thank you for your comment!

Encompasses a good amount of this decade's alt-rock scene. Are you a big New York fan? You have a lot of NY-based bands.
