It still floors me every time I listen to it. Kid A explores dark depths and wild frenzies, and sometimes coos you into a lullaby. Tonally bold and idiosyncratic, it's a haunting experience of anxiety and isolation. Nothing may ever top this one for me.

The album cover says everything. Distortion this gnarly would otherwise belong on an abrasive metal album but the oversaturation becomes rich and surreal when Kevin Shields and Bilinda Butcher sing softly, and the drums hide in the mix. 'To Here Knows When' belongs in a mothafuckin museum.
