Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Nice chart, you have there some bands I've never heard of and they appear 2 or 3 times. I don't know if you check this out anymore, but I'll give you some recommendations that follow the line of Mano Negra sounds. The first one is Fabulosos Cadillacs' Rey Azucar, nothing to say about this just the best band of ska that Argentina had in their transition phase to thicker sounds. Second, is Maldita Vecindad's El Circo, a perfect mixture of mexican folk and ska. Last but not least, anything from Panteon Rococco.

Cool chart, really varied and nice to see someone giving the 80's some space on their chart. Would've given you 85 which is my standard rating for a solid chart but the inclusion of Teenager of the Year and Shabooh Shoobah was worth the extra 5.

Het schijnt zelfs dat de leden van Rage Urban Dance Squad hebben zien spelen voor ze bekend werden. UDS heeft een hitje gescoord in de VS in 1990. Zal jouw chart zo 's bekijken :D

Altijd fijn om een Nederlander te zien, zeker omdat je chart er strak uit ziet! Ik had eerlijk gezegd nog nooit van Urban Dance Squad gehoord, wat een gelijkenis met Rage Against The Machine.

Great chart.....XTC & The Beat, that brings back some great youthful memories!! Will have to check out Troublegum, the highest rated album in your chart that I haven't listened to yet.
