Guitar driven, psychedelic pop/rock. These guys have so much more to offer than just the title track (although that alone would be enough to make me a fan). Easybeats are pretty much the most underrated band of all time.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Well I'm not quite sure what to recommend you from the 80's. What have you heard from them? Have you listened to the BEA top 10, for example? I think it features a pretty nice taste of what were the 80s : new wave, post-punk, heavy metal, pop, beginning of alt rock, and lots of bad taste. Well there are hip-hop and hardcore, too, but they are not really well represented here, so...
About your tastes, I don't know a lot of prog from the 80's (well there's Marillion, but I'm not a fan; you might like them, though), but bands like The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen, Galaxie 500, The Stone Roses, Elvis Costello, Kate Bush, Television Personalities, Orange Juice, New Order, Cocteau Twins, The The or Prince have a poppy sound that could recall the 60's, while having a clear 80's identity. Anyway, anyhting from my chart is a rec, obviously ;-)

That Black Sabath-Radiohead- Genesis- The Beatles combination in your chart its pretty spectacular. Great chart by the way. Boring ? lol I try to write a personal comment or something about each album to make it more unique. I notice you have Kashmir in here!!! fuck i think there are only like 4 people in the whole site who actually know the band. I just fucking love them! No Balance Palace, I think is brilliant. Zitilities their masterpiece.
