Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by VikaGatling

This chart is very personal. I do not fancy gathering some most influential or most important or whichever items to the list.

There is no "one album for artist" rule, because I really like those placed into my chart. Maybe later it will expand, so I have some place to put the new interesting things. Sorry for now.

The most consistent music album I've ever heard. Sounds terrific.

Run, rabbit run, and you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking.

Must be listened in whole.

I've changed my mind about this one. I disliked it after the first listen. But a fewer times after I understood: it describes what I felt like in my teens and I should have listened to it then, the album would have been inspiring and helpful at that time. It sounds adorable. I still can't agree with its very first position in the overall chart: Dark Side is better.

Depressive, hard, dark sound. It's what you need when life came to dead end.
I've been listening to Depeche Mode since early childhood - my uncle was their devoted fan and had a collection of copied tapes.

Must-hear:
- 1. Barrel Of a Gun
- 3. Home
- 6. Useless
- 10. The Bottom Line

Cool:
- the rest of the album

Music from the desert. Mariachi + folk-rock. Melancholic. Latino dancing rhythms. Almost perfect album.

Must-hear songs:
- 6. Algiers
- 3. Sinner in the Sea
- 4. Fortune Teller

Some other world to fly away with no returning back... They say, that this totally sick album was created using Heroin. Could be true, anyway, I'm very fond of it.

The next best thing by the Beatles. Taxman is one of the most exciting songs ever, Eleanor is adorable, almost all the rest are very good. Tomorrow Never Knows is brainbursting, one of my all-time favorites.
By the way, I don't get the hype about Sgt Pepper and I'm glad that people nowadays start preferring Revolver.
If this chart had no end, I'd include also Please Please Me and Let it Be (and maybe The White one). They all have been in the chart while it was closed to the public. But we must choose the best, mustn't we? Anyway, 3 is more then enough =)

Must-hear:
- 1. Taxman
- 2. Eleanor Rigby
- 5. Here, There and Everywhere
- 6. Yellow Submarine
- 10. For No One
- 14. Tomorrow Never Knows

Pretty good:

IMHO, the best double album and the best solo album among the Beatles' ex-members. It is romantic and funny and a bit sad but also very cozy in some strange way, and it brings peace and joy into my life.

Must-hear:
- 1. I'd Have You Anytime
- 2. My Sweet Lord
- 4. Isn't It A Pity
- 5. What Is Life
- 9. Run Of The Mill
- 10 (1). Beware Of Darkness
- 11 (2). Apple Scruffs
- 12 (3). Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)
- 13 (4). Awaiting On You All
- 16 (7). Art Of Dying

My favourite progressive epic song of all times is Close to the Edge. I love it's every sound. The second song on the album is slightly worse, and the third one I don't like at all. So, where to place it within the chart? As high as possible, of course!
