Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Great. I can find here good albums from the 60s era some to discover and new material is not far away. I like that you like the end of the 60s era good psychedelic rock.

Oui ! Oui ! Oui ! Ta liste est géniale ! Très bon choix pour la première place: "Forever Changes" est vraiment l'un des meilleurs albums pop de tout les temps. Je suis content de voir que tu apprécie Radiohead et Belle & Sebastian. Les années 60 et 70 sont vraiment bien représentées. Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Marillon; bref les meilleurs groupes de rock progressif sont au rendez-vous dans cette liste. C'est vraiment cool d'avoir mit un album de Yann Thiersen, notre héro national du piano.

I am just getting into psychedelic music so lots to check out. Only a couple of (prog) bands I don't like but loads to like otherwise. A lot of classics. Some very cool pics!
