"Tom waits orphans, subtitled, brawlers, bawlers and bastards, is a 3cd collection of unreleased and new songs. Brawlers, gives over to the more rock/blues material, while, bawlers, is for the ballads, and, bastards, to the more obscure stuff such as spoken word, instrumental and even jokes. "Hot Chip put themselves on the indie pop dance-floor map with "and i was a boy from school" mining the darker aspects of electronic music on "the warning" by being more focused, all while being more pop friendly. It certainly shows in that track as well as "over and over" and "no fit state""  Reply

"it saddens me that this album hasn't even broke the top 1,000. lupe is so over-looked as an artist its not even funny, lyricism is mirrored by none, the modern-age Nas. I firmly believe it's one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, the 2nd best of the 2000s after marshall mathers lp."  Reply

"Less of an album to listen to and more of an album to invite into your presence, allowing it to accompany you as you walk, or sleep, or write, etc. It's like the corners of a painting and you get to be the centre."  Reply

"Burial's self-titled album is a very impressive debut; most veteran musicians have never put out work with comparable amounts of quality to this record. With the use of sampled vocals and claustrophobic beats, this record expertly captures and evokes a dark mood, along with an overwhelming sense ..."  [+]  Reply

"Though not their strongest effort, I'll like most anything that Built to Spill does. It's a solid effort that shows that they have an admirably consistent discography, maybe to a fault at times. Still, this remains a fine album."  Reply

"Good album by Beck, it starts off really strong but kinda dips in quality towards the last 5 tracks (the No Complaints through Motorcade run is particularly a step down in quality compared to the tracks before them). Still, it's a solid record and it has one of my favorite songs by Beck (Soldier ..."  [+]  Reply
