"This is essential listening not only for the metal genre but for music in general as its importance in history is huge. The influence this album had is massive and it has the quality to back it up as well. Musically, it still sounds so fresh and exciting with side 1 being one of the strongest sid..."  [+]  Reply

"I can't get over how she set me free 0h, oh, lonesome me... Is there another album that more embodies the sound of the 70s? Back when bands' lyrics were repeated by the faithful like sacred truths. Back when albums seemed larger than life carrying their own mythology and album covers were gazed u..."  [+]  Reply

"There is an unfathomable amount of varied material here, even more crazy is how much of that material is genuinely good. It took this long for me to commit to the full listen, I knew it would deserve it. The first two discs make for a beautiful listen, the first stretch of 6 songs, and a few othe..."  [+]  Reply

"These songs seem to have always existed, perhaps even before they were written... timeless Classics on an album which I think, let me check, ... yes, it is law to own a copy."  Reply

"I remember when this came out in 1970 just after the Beatles broke up, which was an emotional experience in and of itself...but when he sings "I don't believe in Beatles" in "God"(Which IMO is one of the greatest songs), I just didn't want to hear it..it was a bad year for pop music, the Beatles ..."  [+]  Reply

"One of the best jazz albums out there. Basically everyone here has that one album that got them into jazz, and it usually holds a dear position in their mind. I see for a lot of people that that album is Kind of Blue, and sometimes A Love Supreme. They're good albums, but when I listned to them b..."  [+]  Reply

"Van Morrison is a musical genius. The way he utilises such a vast array of instrumentation is so impressive and he makes the sound uniquely his own. There is no one who sounds like Van Morrison in relation to his singing and also his music. His sound is so rich and grand which makes for an extrem..."  [+]  Reply

"Best album by one of the greatest American rock bands. John Fogerty is also one of the great American songwriters as well (he was an absolute hit factory). He's also got one of the best rock voices as well. Any CCR album is good but get this one first!"  Reply

"I never knew for sure why this album has always been my favorite Led Zeppelin album. I feel it's intense like the other albums, but also very sensible, honest and smooth. "Kick out out the Jams, motherfuckers! Turns out the MC5 were just the warm up band. Utterly stripped down, Funhouse basks in being lean and young, stalking & swaggering through the city streets. After being restrained by John Cale for platter number one, Iggy Pop turns into a feral beast on this ..."  [+]  Reply
