"If 4 or 5 weak tracks were omitted, we might have an Illmatic pt. 2 here. Still a great album just from the power of the first 8 tracks and the final big single. "I Gave You Power" is some potent writing that never ceases to give the chills. The beat on "The Message" and "Take it in Blood" are al..." [+] Reply

"This is the sunniest collection from a master, and this album is also notable for the restraint he exercises here - no song is longer than four minutes. I love the opening of "Starting a New Life"...."when I hear that robin sing, well, I know it's coming on spring..." Later in the album he sings ..." [+] Reply

"Very "elstjewsom";) Picked this up on their recommendations. No complaint - another amazing musical experience ; I'd never heard anything like it !" Reply
"What a really cool change of pace for these guys. Yeah, its genre tags are "thrash metal" and "stoner metal," but I would say the intensity of it matches the more chaotic moments from Nonagon of Infinity with some aggressive vocals and crazy good guitar work. It's a very fun listen." Reply

"Robert Forster has gone on record to say that his favourite Go-Betweens albums from the 1980s were the even numbered ones, so fourth album Liberty Belle And The Black Diamond Express is one of the good ones by his reckoning. Forster who dominates this record with the singles ‘Head Full Of Steam’ ..." [+] Reply

"This album has successfully managed to open my eyes (or ears rather..) to metal vocals. I've never liked metal vocals, EVER. This one did it for me. After the first couple listens I kept telling myself that an instrumental version of the album would be perfect, however every listen since then has..." [+] Reply
