"Amazing album, there are bangers there are tears, there is hell of a lot of glam there are shivers and there is a ton of originality as well as some really fresh tributes to 80s music. The band mixes contemporary indie with some reaally good punk and a touch of pop and trap. (yeah that's a lot bu..."  [+]  Reply

"I adore Car Seat Headrest. Teens of Denial was one of the best indie albums of the '10s, but after an unimaginative re-record of Twin Fantasy in 2018 and five years passing since a bizarre DIY synthpop record, I and many others feared that the prolific Will Toledo and co. had finally run out of s..."  [+]  Reply

"After the two out-of-nowhere supernovas that were his first two (brief) albums, he settles down here for a slightly more relaxed, somber record- but still just as witty and never with a wasted moment. The sunday-morning hangover record is probably the best way to describe it, or perhaps coming ho..."  [+]  Reply

"To me, this is one of the greatest albums of the entire 1980s decade, regardless of music genre. It is a journey in sound/sonics with just enough of a story line to engage the listener. And the second portion is some of the finest ambient music, ever. Fantastic guest musicians, including Robert F..."  [+]  Reply

"I was 11 years old when this album came out. My brother had just started learning to play bass. Naturally, this is the record he wanted to learn to play. Taking his lead, this quickly became my favorite album of that time. I was obsessed. Calypool's bass still sounds like no other."  Reply

"It's Iron Maiden meets Guns 'n Roses meets Skid Row, Motley Crue and Metallica. This is A7X's breakthrough album, and with good reason. The juxtaposition of each track is such that the whole album fits together in a very deliberate way. Once heard, songs like 'Beast and the Harlot,' 'Trashed and ..."  [+]  Reply

"I don't know if this is breaking any new ground, maybe not but the playing is great and the riffs are really catchy. Gets a bit samey after the first half, but I like this band's sound so much that I didn't mind. Thrash/death metal classic and a great listen. I'd feel bad for anyone who missed bo..."  [+]  Reply

"I regard flowers in the dirt as one of Paul McCartney's best solo albums. About a third of the songs are written with Elvis Costello, and they are amongst some of the best tracks here. My brave face, is superb, and, that day is done, is also very good. There are other excellent cuts on the record..."  [+]  Reply
