Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a mean average rating of 71.0/100. The trimmed mean (excluding outliers) is 71.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.4.

I've never heard anything like this :O
How to describe this? FKA Twigs meets Scott Walker meet Perfume Genius. Reading Spanish poetry. While chewing a dandelion. And quite possibly frolicking in a field of wheat. That is entirely purple for some reason.
Honestly, I like to think of myself as oh-so-open minded and progressive and whatnot that I never describe music as "weird" if it strays from the mainstream, but by Jove, this is WEIRD. And brilliant.
strange electric, avantgarde progrock album.
It´s sure something special, but I don´t really like it.
Ambient sound and unnerving vocals, the album is an experience. See how the cover looks? that's the way it sounds. Don't be put off if you are not a Spanish speaker as it should not make a big difference... I am Spanish and didn't quite get half of it.
A beautiful, ethereal record throughout where Arca employs his vocals, giving the record a jolt of warmth and rawness unlike his previous works. Hopefully it won't be forgotten because it honestly will be one of the best albums of the year by time December arrives.
You can really feel the pain, catharsis, and beauty in this album, even if you don't speak Spanish. Arca's first vocalized album is a successful introduction of Ghersi's emotive voice, and the songs benefit from the heavy ambient production. Whereas his music felt colder on past releases, this new record feels more intimate and human.
