Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Dissapointing by Underoath standards, but still better than lots of other music coming from the hardcore/metalcore scene these days in my opinion. I feared for this when they signed with Fearless.
