Torre's affable and reedy take-a-breather album, after escaping modern 4AD's clutches and their attempt to turn her into another St Vincent clone. Softer version of her more cosmic and deeply affecting singer-songwriter alt-rock, though lacks some of the storytelling prowess of her earlier works. She's probably never going to make an album as striking and profound as her debut, but still this is consistently very emotive despite it's laid-back pace.

Torres is Mackenzie Scott and I’ve been following her career since her self titled debut came out in 2013
Each album has been progressively more assured and here on album number 4 she has released her best album to date . I’ve no doubt the masterpiece or breakout album is just around the corner for Mackenzie , remember it took Sharon Van Etten until album 5 to hit pay-dirt with ‘Are We There’
If Torres were stock I’d say Buy Buy Buy
I like her vocals a lot. The music swirls and the melodies rise and fall. Its a good listen
