More Charly Bliss-esqu than Charly Bliss and thats a compliment. This album is a heap of sugar sweet indie pop fun

Ratboys have matured quite a bit with this album, but in the process they've lost a bit of the catchy spirit that made their early work so exciting. They've traded in their clever and fun lyrics for more poetic phrasing, on one hand carrying more weight but also significantly more vague than their previous songs.
