I adore this recording. It’s Cave doing most of his best songs and even then I feel a couple of them deserve definitive version status. What a tremendous time capsule piece from an unprecedented time, I recommend this highly.
Oh, and this album inspired me to learn the piano!

A true master. Exactly what I expected. Exactly what I wanted. Stunning.
"A souvenir from a strange and precarious moment in history". Magnificent!
There are very few living artists who could pull this off, but Cave delivers a collection of his finest songs (and some lesser known ones too) in such a breathtaking way. This album is stunning. Those who are fans will know the backdrop to the album. But if you are unfamiliar with his work, just give this album a listen, and it won't leave you. A master craftsman and at the moment there is no equal.
