My favorite albums, that I own. If I don't have the physical album/cd I won't include it.

Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 66.7/100, a mean average of 63.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 25.0.

Lots of melodic death metal, alternative metal, and other picks that are… decidedly unpopular. I don’t really care about the accusations of “poor” taste. Would like to see notes to see why these particular albums move you, but obviously that’s not a make-or-break. Keep being you.

Well, anyone with Mastodon in top 10 is a winner. Not sure why all the hate, you have people who put exclusively modern indie albums and have like 85/100 chart rating. You have Lennon, Rush, Dillingers and Nirvana which are at the totally different ends of music spectrum. Anyway, there's not enough metal on BEA, so 85 for not being the same as everyone here.

Seriously, stop rating albums out of spite or because you just want points. It screws up the entire point of this website. Especially since your taste consists of mostly the things everyone likes without room for leeway... Accessible doesn't always mean good...

Full of good, balls-to-the-wall rock and roll. Not sure about 4 Deftones albums in the top 12, but to each their own.

:/ Based on your rating system, I thought you would have cool taste. Guess not. Looks like you rate out of spite potentially. Maybe not. Who knows. Below average taste imo.

Thanks for your comment. I have listened to one Police album, some songs were great and some I didn't like, but will check out the other Police albums. Haven't listened to any INXS albums, will do at some point.

I think many of these albums here aren't my taste, but it's always great to see a different chart. The average rating is also ridiculously low for some reason.
