Top 100 Music Albums of 2015

As with my 2014 chart, I'm including everything I've listened to for the year here, even terrible albums. The reason is I use this more of a log of what I've listened to; I still plan to rank bad albums last so they'll invariably get no points. Plus it's my chart and I do what I want.
31 keepers so far! Everything else that's rated a 70 is close. Ratings for those albums will probably climb as I give them more listens. Anything rated 65 is something I enjoyed but don't think I'll ever listen to again; however I still highly recommend those albums.
This has probably been the best year for music since 2012.
**Update 9/3/18: I've updated the portion of this chart with the over 70 albums to keep it in line with my current ratings. Everything under a 70 still has my opinions from 2015, which are probably shitty.
**Update 2/19/20: Did another update of everything 70 and above.

The first five songs here are just killer. It dips a bit after that but it's never boring. [First added to this chart: 09/22/2015]

When this came out I listened to it about 5 times a day for over a week, which I think really burned me out on it. I still like it but the songs feel so familiar I don't get much from them. Still a great album though. [First added to this chart: 09/26/2015]

Mmmm, those delectably distorted vocal samples. [First added to this chart: 02/19/2020]

Their britpop stuff was better. This feels like a Keane-level attempt to make Radiohead-level art rock and it falls flat. [First added to this chart: 05/07/2015]

Doesn't really compare to their first two albums, but it's still an enjoyable listen. Much more melodic and I kind of miss the more dissonant, loud Swervedriver, but this isn't bad either. Probably won't ever come back to it. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2015]

This is one of those albums where I like the concept but I don't like the album. There's tons of variety, the songs are passionate, and they're incredibly unique and defy any classification. But my ratings aren't based on concepts alone, and here the album just falls a little flat. Nothing really stands out, and no songs really grabbed me and pulled me in. The whole time I was enjoying it but wishing it would get better. Might follow them going forward to see if they improve, because there's definitely potential, but they didn't quite succeed with this one unfortunately. [First added to this chart: 05/09/2015]

I hated the xx's debut, so I was disappointed that this got good reviews because it meant I would probably feel guilted into listening to it with little chance of enjoying it. I enjoyed it a little bit, but honestly it just sounds like noise to be and nothing more. There's not enough going on to interest me and the minimalist beats don't give off any type of emotions. There are a few good songs but a lot of forgettable ones. [First added to this chart: 06/22/2015]

For me this is the most boring kind of indie rock possible. Backwards thinking instead of forward - I've heard this before and I don't need to hear it in 2015. This is the kind of band that people who go to music festivals but have only heard of the headliner really enjoy. [First added to this chart: 07/26/2015]

I don't know why I put myself through this. I guess the nostalgia was too strong from Sigh No More and I couldn't live without at least hearing this. But it wasn't worth it. If you think Coldplay or Oasis are derivative, stay away from this. This is truly bottom of the barrel rock that asks the question "what if we built an entire album around the intro for Red Eyes?" This is the album that Shaun Morgan won't listen to because it's too uncreative (he's the singer from Seether, I didn't know that either until I just looked it up).
Honestly Wolf is a pretty alright song. And there's some cool production stuff going on. But the lyrics are more Mumfordy than you could ever imagine and the whole thing sounds pointless. It seems motivational but all it inspires me to do is take a nap. And in case you're wondering, yes, there is a song where Mumford drops a "fuck" for no reason.
