Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

14 albums in common on our respective greatest album charts and I own 47 of these so you get a really good score for this one. How could I not.

Great list man. Many albums in common. Good to see GnR and Tom Waits. Nothing to dislike here. Good work.
Your list was listed as the most similar to mine so I figured I would check it out. I was not disappointed. I see many of my favourites on here. If you haven't already, you should listen to Icky Thump by the White Stripes. It isn't ranked as high on this website, but I think that that is an egregious misrepresentation of how brilliant it actually is.
Great list, solid albums that are timely classics and a few lovely surprises

A solid chart! Going for the "safe" ones but going with impeccable taste.
Great chart. Very similar to mine. Nothing very surprising on it but every album is a solid choice.
