Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Came ack to this chart randomly, and I didn't realize the diversity you had here! of course i love you #1, but its cool to see someone else here that appreciates rock, hip-hop, and jazz. I haven't found too many on this site, especially jazz appreciators. Here's some great jazz to check out if you haven't heard of it. Feel free to ask for more recs if you have
Pharoah Sanders - Karma. Wonderful spiritual jazz album with some vocals.
ALice Coltrane - Journey In Satchidananda. Great spiritual jazz by John Coltrane's wife
Freddie Hubbard - Red Clay. very cool jazz fusion record
Herbie hancock - Sextant. Awesome jazz fusion. Herbie has tons of albums worth checking out if you havent already.

Lots of classics and diversity. I love the chart. I'd give it 100 if you maybe had a couple notes on your top 10, but other than that this chart is fantastic.
