Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. I'd rate this higher, except I'm not a fan of the Chili Peppers. Outside of that, your choices are outstanding!

Great Chart Love all the Chili Pepper albums they're probably my second favorite band (Beatles fanboy). I really dislike Radiohead but hey each to his own. Most of the albums on your chart I've heard and love. But where are all the Beatles albums at!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to post a comment. I'd go further than that - I'll stick my neck out here and say he's the most talented songwriter around today. He's certainly the most prolific.
