Top 30 Greatest Music Albums

My favorite albums so far. I’ve just really gotten into music, so this might change in the future.

Not a single dull moment on this album. From the crazy, scream-filled opener to the more stoner rock riffs of “No One Knows,” this album has everything I like: Hard Alternative Rock. And on top of all of that, you have Jesus Christ himself, Dave Grohl, playing the drums in what was probably the best Queens lineup.

For the longest time this was my favorite album of all time, but then I found Songs for the Deaf. Muse are my favorite band ever, and, in my opinion, they have yet to release an album that is anything less then amazing. From awesome bass lines in songs like Hysteria and Time is Running Out, to more acoustic cuts like Falling Away With You, there’s something here for everyone

This was the second album I ever bought (I think) after Drones by Muse (which I now realize was a very disappointing album). This has a lot of experimenting on it. From more piano driven songs like Space Dementia to experimental rock/ almost punk songs like Hyper Music, it has a large range of musical ideas, but still feels cohesive

I figured out this was an unpopular opinion on the internet, but I think Evil Empire is better than both RATM’s self-titled debut and The Battle for LA. Why? Because you can feel the raw, untamed energy and aggression in these songs. From huge hits like Bulls on Parade, to smaller, more underrated songs like Snake Charmer, the energy does not stop.

I love this album. Everlong was a huge part of my childhood because my dad LOVES that song, and I fell in love with the album the first time I heard it. With hits like Monkey Wrench, My Hero, and Everlong, along with some unappreciated songs like Wind Up, this album is amazing front to back.

I love this album. I got it after loving SFTD and seeing everyone talking about how good this album was, so I got it and gave it a listen. I was not let down. I love the riffs, and Dave Grohl is back again drumming for some of these tracks, which is always a good thing.

Not much to add here, everyone sort of agrees, this album is amazing, and though some songs haven’t aged the best, songs like Killing in the Name still do not fail to get me amped up.

Feel Good Inc was another huge part of my childhood. Gorillaz was the first band I ever really got into and Demon Days was one of the first albums I ever listened to.
