Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.0/100, a mean average of 79.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 26.4.

Music to give myself a headache to? No thanks.
Your Top 7 is good, and you've got a handful of other albums that I like, but after that the over-reliance on abrasive noise is a big turn off. Why listen to most of these albums when I can just go stand in front of the nearest construction site & listen to the jackhammers and chainsaws for free?

Btw, the painful tinnitus you'll have in 20 years won't be fun. Trust me.

Came here because I was listening to Goat, saw Scratch Acid up there and started listening to it for the first time. Best decision I could have made. This is phenomenal.

Very noisy chart.
I like it,
But...to be honest, I wish a little bit more nice and lovely songs.

Maybe I`ll find some new prober albums for my "Noise of Trouble" chart.

Dude, I can't fathom why people think your chart is mediocre. It's so diverse and personal! And your jazz picks are great!
