Trent Reznor is a GENIUS
This album will haunt you, if you play this at night is not going to let you sleep
From the context were this album was recorded to the excellent level of production Reznor achieve
Sometimes is good to explore and embrace more “Bad” emotions and this album does it exceptionally

Treznor expressed a lot of what people are timorous to Say or to think.

The Very First Progressive Rock Album

Oh man what are this 5 guys doing back in 1969 ???!!!
They all are really really excellent musicians, its brilliant how the songs change from absolute chaos (in a good way) to beautiful harmonic in 2 seconds also the lyrics are poesy !!
combined Jazz with Classical and Rock!!! creating the fundaments for my favorite Rock sub-genre, i think this is an essential album for anyone who likes and wants to know more about music
Robert Fripp, Greg Lake, Ian Mcdonald, Michael Giles, Peter Sinfield all genius of the 20th century

Isn't it a pity Ian Died and left only 2 albums?

Please if you have never heard this, wait until night put your headphones on and listen to what Ian Curtis and his band wanted to say
this album is a experience, I never get enough of the ambient this one creates, travels me to a dark and unfaithful planet, the lyrics about desolation and human alienation are great and Ian vocal performance is terrific
Some "kids" carrying by themselves a new sub-genre and a new wave from music to come

For a While this was my Favorite Floyd and Progressive Album

I was in college when i start listening to Floyd, first Dark Side and the next one was this Masterpiece and this album absorb me, i remember i went out in the middle of the night just driving around the city at 2 AM listening to the entire Album just for fun with like 19-20 years

The 5 songs here are 9s and 10s at worst, its like a trip really (Like Most Floyd Albums) with songs that really have a social commentary reflecting a more maturity and criticism in Water's lyrics, for always its impossible to not put this album in a best progressive album list and in this case in a Best Ever Albums list.

Jim Morrison on Stage perfomance and vocals together with Ray Manzarek Keyborad and Organ greatness are one of my favorite All Time Duo's

This debut album is almost perfect just saying this one is package with The End, Break on Trough and Light My Fire, i really can listen to Manzarek Keyboard and Organ deliver on this one All day long, Jim's voice is like a Shaman calling you to discover your soul in a world of mysticism and excesses so profound and so crazy
I really think the 70s were going to be The Doors Decade, sadly we will never know

So many Flavors and genres prince achieve in this project, a double album with R&B, Soul, Rock, Funk, Avant pop, etc

The Cure is indeed the best band from the 1980s tied with The Smiths

"Disintigration" takes you on a journey of melancholy, sadness, memories, and all sad things for that matter
Pictures of you always makes me cry and that's beautiful in an artistic way, music that let flow your emotions and all that sutff
Robert Smith was frightened about he was going to turn 30 and hasn't created a Masterpiece so he focus and decided to create one, he Succeeded.

This Album contains 16 songs and the average rating is 87!!!

This is one of the albums you fall in love at first listen, all songs here are from good to excellent, Marr was just 21 when this album was released (Feels almost like Harrison at the beatles debut). this feels so fresh, so electrifying and so Morrisey jajaja, love this one and for me this counts like a studio album

Best Pop Album Ever

This Album is to Pop what “Dark side to the Moon” to Progressive Rock and what “Kind Of Blue” to Jazz
Although i consider 2 Prince Records almost as the same level its just undeniable the impact and the legacy this album and MJ have on thounsands of artists since
And i think the best thing an Artist can achieve is inspiring others while creating music (Art)
So many classics and incredible songs from start to finish
I used to think that Lady in my life was a filler but now is one of my favourite feeling songs

One of the most Beautiful Albums Ever

What a musical experience Bjork gave us with this project, i can understand why most people agree with "Homogenic" being her best ever album and the experimental music she creates on that one, but for me "Vespertine" is her most perfect Record, she mix Art Pop, Ambient and Electronica with such human sensitiveness that freaks me out

With every listen you will always hear something new about every song, wonderful wonderful record

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 91.1/100, a mean average of 89.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 94.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 22.3.

Hey man, I've come back to this chart a second time and it gets a perfect 100. I love your introduction and the huge respect you've given to the artists, producers and collaborators that made this amazing music possible and brought so much joy to our lives. You've clearly put a lot of work into this, there's an awesome personal touch to it and I can relate totally to your stories within. I've also got some great tips off this chart - whilst there are plenty of well-know classics - and you share much of the same tastes as mine - there are quite a few I must give a listen, and it's really helpful that you've listed all the genres/sub-genres covered in those albums. Love this!
