There also seems to be a bit of a new wave hangover influencing the music on a few songs, which blends surprisingly well. "What you have to love about the later Van Morrison is the way his voice seemed to strengthen with age. He sings powerfully on Avalon of the Heart and the title track. Any nasal quality he ever indulged on albums like Wavelength is real gone here." Reply
