"A decent-enough pop album from Ariana, most songs aren't bad at all and I can imagine a lot of them as singles. With this album filled with chart hits, she cemented herself firmly in the mainstream pop landscape. Job done."  Reply

"This was Sandy Denny's third solo-album. On her second album, the much acclaimed "Sandy", she had begun a slow departure from her folk-music roots. On this album you probably would not have thought of there being any folk-roots at all, if it had not been for her backing band consisting of people ..."  [+]  Reply

"People often make fun of me for having this so high on my list, but make no mistake: This is, by far, the greatest "Radio Disney" album of all time (and, before I got into real music, I listened to a LOT of those :p). I know this sounds like it's not saying much, but this album truly is..."  [+]  Reply

"fairly weedy synth pop, occasionally it soars but often it plods. And the lyrical concerns are fairly straight, if always playful. So, disappointing for a Sparks album for me."  Reply

"I wish everyone knew and loved this album as much as I do; but even though it's been easier to get hold of for a good ten years now, it seems there are still many who haven't caught on to its lyrical loveliness - I'm the first to post a comment on this, a site for the musical cognoscenti. Come on..."  [+]  Reply

"Side A: some body-shaking-stadium-anthem-bangers. Side B: Some powerful ballads a la Katy Perry. Favorite Tracks: Funeral Pyre, Same Old Blues, You Don’t Get Me High Anymore, Cruel World, You’re Mine."  Reply
