Tamikrest are known for being able to absorb influences into their sound without losing their heart. On Kidal, we hear elements of blues, old-school rock’n’roll and reggae, but every time the band’s vocals kick in, we’re drawn straight back into the deep of the Sahara.
Beautiful desert-blues. Especially "Manhouy Inerizhan" and "Adoutat Salilagh". Unfortunate that the security situation in the town of Kidal has been so terrible in recent years...
