In this album Andy Shauf is often a better storyteller than a music composer. The melodies are mostly unmemorable and the phrasing sometimes derail from the beat. It could be argued that that's just part of his style sometimes, but I see it as somewhat unpolished songwriting. Only two songs really stand out for me: Thirteen Hours and Living Room, which are pretty great.
Like stepping back into the seventies. So retro it hurts.
