A massive four album box-set tracing the history of jazz is quite an undertaking. This compilation achieves what it sets out to do. Collecting all the greats from King Oliver to Miles Davis, Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong to Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan to Artie Shaw there's 100 tunes here to get your boogie, swing or dance groove on. Even if you just want to toe tap, this music will incite you. Released by the London based Prism Leisure Corporation on Cat #: PLATBX 708 and with UPC code 5 014293 370820 there's something for everybody here and a tremendous place to start one's association with the Jazz genre.
