This is by a local band from Mesa, AZ, I'm fairly sure. A friend gave me the CD when I was going through my divorce, because it's all songs about guys who've spent a lifetime losing but still push on. It's banjo music with a haunting fiddle and gravel voiced singer. I played this album almost every day for a year, because it really did make me feel better. The songs are excellent, and this kind of music sounds wrong coming from teen idols wearing spandex pants and performing in arena shows. This music needs to come from unknown bands who play in small bars, and probably know a lot about losing.
