Top 40 Greatest Music Albums
by ToastedStolens
For Normy-Poo, my one true second love. The albums are just sorted by release date, and I lovingly put some notes on each one. This will keep you busy for a while. Probably. The albums are purposely extremely varied, ranging from all time classics to the most underground indie. It's designed to find specific genres or elements you might like, so play along and you'll wind up more educated musically. <3, babby.

An obscure underground band from Liverpool, chances are you've never heard of them. This album sure is a gem nobody seems to know about. If you like this, check out "The Beach Boys".

Best guitarist of all time, nothing more needs to be said really. I bet Jawsh has a third nipple somewhere. I know he does. If you like this, you're human.

Every single song is stellar. Don't be like "I've already heard all that stuff." Listen to it all together and it just makes it super magical like a Papa J surprise from your deceased aunt. If you like this, check out more Led Zep.

DAE remember this gem?!? I shouldn't have to remind you to listen to this. It's like reminding somebody not to throw a bouncing betty at their friend who's protecting them with their life. That would be cray cray. If you like this, check out pretty much any other classic rock band.

If you said you like some Smiths stuff, here's where you start. Complete transparency here, I'm not a huge fan of it, but you might be. You might be a hermaphrodite too. Might be. If you like this, check out "The Stone Roses".

It's really good. Damn good damn good good damn damn good damn... good. Check it out. When I come to power and purge the 80's from all of society, this is all that shall remain. If you like this, check out "Pavement".

Sort of the opposite end of the spectrum of shoegaze from My Bloody Valentine, this album is extremely chill, but not stoner chill, know what I mean? Of course not, listen to find out. One of my top-10 favorites. If you like this, check out "The Bilinda Butchers".

What shoegaze sounded like before My Bloody Valentine changed it all. Much clearer and more upbeat, you can see where it would later inspire bands like Oasis, Suede, Blur, etc... And the cover is pretty. If you like this, check out "The Pains of Being Pure at Heart".

A great intro into electronica and its beepy wonders. Very catchy and a great background to homework you're totally blowing off like Milam at a horse farm. If you like this, check out "Boards of Canada".
